EcoTest Laboratories, Inc. is an independent, environmental testing laboratory which was founded in 1977. The company was founded by and is owned and co-directed by Thomas Powell and Thomas Treutlein.

Our main goal at EcoTest Laboratories is to produce the most accurate and precise analytical results possible, as quickly as possible. The data must be technically defensible for clients who must comply with Federal and state and local regulations such as SPDES, NPDES, RCRA, and SDWA.  

Our efforts are concentrated on analytical chemistry and microbiology with a minimum of interpretive and consulting work. Because of the importance of our work to our clients in health, legal, economic, and other matters, we have instituted a comprehensive Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program. The standard operating procedures described herein were designed by our staff to incorporate all those aspects needed for a good QA/QC program and in conformance with the NELAC standard adopted by the New York State Environmental Laboratory Approval Program (NYSELAP).
